§ 13-102. Enforcement of Housing Code; officials.

  • (a)

    The Director of the Department of Permitting, Inspections, and Enforcement is designated the County official responsible for the enforcement and administration of the Housing Code adopted by this Division.

    (b)

    The Director of the Department of Permitting, Inspections, and Enforcement with the approval of the County Executive, shall appoint such number of officers, technical assistants, inspectors and other employees as are necessary for the administration and enforcement of this Subtitle. He may delegate to the head of the Housing Division of the Department the powers and responsibilities assigned in this Subtitle.

    (c)

    Administration and enforcement of the Housing Code will be coordinated to the maximum extent feasible with other County departments, boards, commissions, agencies and the governing bodies of incorporated cities and towns in order that corrective actions and resources may be efficiently and effectively applied to the common goal of attainment of improved housing conditions.
