§ 20-144. Alcohol or controlled dangerous substance testing.

  • (a)

    A driver must submit to a test if the Director or a police officer has reasonable grounds to believe that the driver has been or is drinking alcoholic beverages or has used or is using a controlled dangerous substance while on duty. The failure to submit to a test shall be sufficient grounds for suspension or revocation of a license.

    (b)

    The Director may authorize the initiation of random drug testing of drivers of taxicabs and limousines. Any driver who fails to submit to random drug testing may be subject to the immediate suspension or revocation of license.
