§ 4-187. Structural Design; Section 1608, Snow Loads.

(a)

Section 1608.1, General. Design snow loads shall be determined in accordance with Section 7 of ASCE 7, but the design roof load shall not be less than that determined by Section 1607 of this Code. However, in no case shall a roof be designed for less than thirty (30) per square foot (psf) snow load plus the drift.

(b)

Section 1608.2, Ground Snow Loads. The minimum ground snow loads to be used in determining the design snow loads for roofs, including snow drift shall be thirty-five (35) pounds per square foot (psf).
